Hi, Im Carissa. I started practising yoga as a way to explore and connect with my physical body. I was devoted and developed a strong and regular practise. Opening and strengthening my physical body allowed me to then open space for my mental, emotional and spiritual body.
My classes can vary from calm and restorative, to a stronger dynamic advanced class, while still staying true to the traditions of Hatha Yoga. Expect a playful, yet mindful honest class leaving you feeling warm and open. My intention is to share and teach what I have learned - Asana (postures) Pranayama (breathing techniques) and meditation so we all have the tools to manifest a stronger connection to our physical bodies, as well as our mental and spiritual selves, leaving with a sense of calm and control.
